wow....very quite leh today

ahh well..here are the pix:

My Dad grows em...i shoot em.....stuff at the garden

Life n death of a papya leaf

Plants are sprouting everywhere despite the extremely hot weather

The bees are bizi

Lotsa flowers to visit...same can't be said for us married males

A water lily flower at full bloom

While another withers......

Spent some time visiting the local temples nested in the limestone caves in ipoh, notably, Kek Lok Tong, Nam Tin Tong and Sam Poh Tong....here's some pix

Limestone structure

Funni algae covered stalagtite at kek lok tong

Bronze deity at kek lok tong

The intricate carvings on the roof of a tea house beside the lotus pond

and stuff u see at the lotus pond

Moving on to the pix taken at nam tin tong n sam poh tong

Joss sticks are burning as plenty of ppl were offering prayers during the Chinese New Year season

oil lamps with devotee names lit with hopes for prayers and wishes answered

exquisite porcelain statues adorn the roof of archway into the sam poh tong rock garden

A stone dragon guards the surroundings

Stone miniatures are everywhere...very fine details too....

Another deity residing inside of sam poh tong

And this is one of the many things sam poh tong is well known for....a symbol of longevity

That's all folks....here's to a wonderful year of the rooster....

Weapon of choice: Nikon dseventy with 18-70mm kit lens and 70-200 vr
