yea, just to put some things right.

anyway, i'm waiting for the k800i too. should be interesting if sony ericsson can push the image quality a bit further, because as it stands, the pictures seems a tad soft and 'cool'.

Hey Everyone...Ive just thought of a realy interesting question...

Can somebody who has had a play with the k800 or has one at the moment tell me...

When burst mode, or bestpic is used, at night, with the flash, what exactly does the flash do?

Presumably it would flash for every shot in the burst mode...Maybe only once for the best pic???

Answer please anyone?

AJ

well Mate for the burst Mode and for the best pic feat. as with regards to the flash, once your in focus, as if you have noticed that when it gets the pic in focus a red light is emmitted from the sensor so the camera can focus and thus the rectangle box in the view finder going green it takes the pics.

The flash stays on and once either the 4 consecutive pics have been taken or the 9 pics have been taken it shuts off. As you keep in mind as for best pic it takes 9 3mpx pics in 2 sec's flat.

Burst Mode can take any format pics of 4 while Best Pic will take only 9 pics of 3Mpx and not less format.

So the flash light won't stay on very long for the pics to be taken in burst or in best pic. However the light can remain on for the video rec. feature as shown below :

Well that's it for now kiddies ...

Cheers ... !!!

ive spoken to 02 UK myself and the release date is still scheduled for the 28th june.... fingers crossed it isnt held back.... 02 alson iformed me that the phone might not be fully compatible with the network in which case it would have to undergo further testing and frimware changes..... but why dont 02 just test it now before its release!??

because SE hasnt dispatched the official final phone to anyone yet. They just finished the final touches and tweaked things a little as of last week.

The phone should be out to buy probably first week of July or end of this month if everything goes well.

@micks2005
But wouldn't a xenon flash on continuously use up a lot of power? Then again there is a solution to the flashlight problem...

O2 are quoting 26th June for the relase of the k800i. I am also considering the Nokia N80 but it is delayed to start of July now!! I guess I will get which ever is out first. They are both similar phones but with different benefits wifi, bestpic, good video/image stabaliser etc.
