NO mate.

First - modern batteries don't need any extra calibration.

Secondly stop repeating this sentence.
My battery is fine, it's a bug in a software causing batt drain
reported in many reviews and by very many users on xda and forums.
That is why on idle and flight mode there is almost no drain
and any activity regarding data and screen kills the power.

I just hope they will release fix for this
as well as fix for email app.

Agree with you on this Dom, when I have the phone on flight mode overnight, battery is very good, drains maybe 2 - 3 per cent in 6/7 hours. During the day when cell service is active it drains quickly, screen also drains it, which leads me to believe, like you, they just need to tweak the idle use and maybe adjust the screen brightness a bit better.

X10 and Arc also had battery issues on the first firmware, then SE sorted them later on.

Would suggest you install CPU Spy and check how much time it spends in deepsleep. Anything less than say 85% when the phone is not in hevy use suggests there is a SW bug causing battery drain. Otherwise some HW parameter settings may be wrong causing the battery issue. Both issues are however SW upgrade fixable I would guess.

If anyones interested in the UK I ordered this from O2:

£18.50 - 18month 100mb\\50mins
£104 - one off

£110 cashback via quidco

So total cost is £330, beats buying it SIM free. I will use another SIM in it, O2 unlock the phone FOC.

That is my point.
I remember one Arc Fw which was draining the battery like 25% at night.

Can anyone with an Xperia S and a LiveSound headset, tell me what happens when you connect them? I know the S isn't compatible with the headset, but is there a way to make it work, such as only plugging it in three quarters in?

Take a look at this night video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxmdbmK_f1c . I'd say that the quality is really superb! The noise levels are really low and the amount of details is too damn high! Xperia S is gonna kick ass!

Do you think Sony are going to improve the quality of Xperia 2011's cameras with the ICS update? Not that they're bad now, but I'm sure they can do more.
