Tsepzcs is just an immature hater in my opinion who's shy to recognize how powerful Symbian is. You need a hug bro, lots of hugs.

fandroids are all about "glitz" apps

oh and btw, you and cu- keep forgetting to include GPS and Free Worldwide navigation on the list of cool stuff we can do with the 808. I used the 808 offline in Alabama last year, in some areas with no signal, was awesome.

I will take some photos of my 808. You guys play extreme sports with yours apparently. Mine is in pristine conditions, 9.5 out of 10 I would say. The secret is the Nillkin cover, barely there and protects the corners, the back (including the camera hump). I will show you later.

Bono:
Err... not gonna argue with you. Microsoft apps/Poor security... probably in Windows for PC. Windows Phone 8 is to me the 2nd most secure OS (after BB10) at the moment. 99.9% of the apps installed has to go through their store, you don't see apps asking permissions to get all yout details including credit card numbers like in android (right, I exaggerated a bit but lots of android apps ask for that).

Android phones are set by default to accept apps only from the play store - the user has to manually change the setting to enable install of apps from other sources. Also from about 80 apps that I have on my phone none has asked me for credit card details- not sure where you are getting that from

I have to say though that free offline navigation is a great thing ( mlife should add it to his list . ) and it something that android (and I believe iOS ) doesn't have. I am really glad they are offering it on windows phones as well

Shy to recognize how powerful Symbian is? Wtf, what? say that sentence out loud to yourself and see if it makes any sort of sense. I've owned Symbians, from my very 1st S60, the N80 to the N8, recently gave away my old 5800xm too someone who really needed a phone, even Hacked it for them using the Norton hack. I'm aware of what Symbian is capable of and at the same time aware of the fact that it's missing a whole lot of Apps (Instagram, Vine, Tumblr, FNB Banking app etc...) that I need and functions (IR Blaster support, WiFi Direct, Split screen Multitasking etc...) that I want and have been accustomed to using.

Yep, we are all about glitz, that's why so many corps. Are promoting the BYOD system and are especially incorporating Androids along with iPhones, cause they are just so glitzy, rather not even bother getting involved dude.

Don't get me wrong, I think hans is doing a great job here on ESATO - overall - and I for one am appreciative of his contributions as both a member as well mod.
But in this issue, I must say I think he/you overreacted a bit.... Tsepz_GP & aussieland1 were standing their ground and so were those on the other side of our little "debate".... I don't see any inflammatory, disrespectful or LOCK worthy comments. Sure, not a ton of progress was being made but that did help me speed through an otherwise boring workday!

Healthy passionate debate is good for thought and until F-bombs or momma jokes kick in, I'm not sure why the thread was on temporary lockdown. But I'm not mod, so maybe I don't understand the guidelines to locking threads. Yet it is confusing that when a debate heats up between KNOWN members, the thread is locked ... yet we can endure months/years of ANONYMOUS 1-voters and NOTHING is done??? Makes perfect sense to me

Guys, I've taken some pictures 808 vs 1020, sunny day yesterday.

Please check them and lets discuss which one is the best:
http://www.esato.com/phonephotos/index.php?uid=11115

To me in some occasions, the 808 is the clear winner bit in some others the 1020 has a better light balance.
In other hand: I watched Terminator 1, 2, 3 and Terminator:Salvation. It makes me hate Google even more. Buying Boston Dynamics, Nest... Whats the purpose? Unless they secretly are Skynet

Kind of hard to compare a 5mp image to a 40mp image... Although I don't disagree that the 808 wins, I have a fun experiment for you (which I myself have done with my 808 & 1020).

Set both phones to 5mp and iso 1600.... shoot images in dim, medium and bright light.... then add some flash....

I can't wait to hear your reaction, I think you will be surprised!
