I flashed my phone earlier using Davinci to a different area, but didn't change the CDA.
Now if I update my phone using SEUS, will I loose all the info on my phne?

I did a little test... on different locations I tested the reception with my old Nokia 6100 and my new SE k750i both on the orange network at the same time (2 different orange numbers)...

The nokia has almost all the time full reception between 80 and 100%.. The K750i (still running on the first firmware) has sometimes a minimal reception even when the nokia has full reception(This happened during really bad weather with much rain)...

I think this is quitte strange with a totally new phone from modern day, the reception is so horrible...

Please help what you guys advice...?

I have also done a simular test with the K700i and T610.

I have also noticed that on occasions the K750i losses calls even when there is a network. I have dont the update to R1l and this does make a massive difference on the Orange handset. However when you have done the update you have to fully reset the phone, Dont ask me why, but on doing this i dont have half of the problems.

This morning on my way to work, In firmware R1A I could make a call in this one area and the call would cut of Gauranted with out fail, even when there was a network showing. After the R1L. and i have tried this on a few times, I havnt lost a call at all. the network and phone handels the phone like it should do.

I do still have on occasions have missed call alerts when i do have a signal so there is so more things to do, but its getting better,

Also since the update i havnt had one crash, any problems, no missing shortcuts or bookmarks and the menus are a lot quciker. The volume in the ear piece is better and general the camera hasnt lost any quality like some others have, Video frames have slightly dropped, but i would rather have a phone that can make calls than do cuper quality videos at the moment. To me i would do the update with out any questions asked.

I downloaded the R1J firmaware from DaVinci last week to fix the stanby hanging problem - this worked. A day later the camera crapped out on me. You click on the icon or open the shutter and nothing happens. Figured that if I download RIL, this might bring help some what - still not working.

Please, will someone tell me this has happened to them and it is just a software problem and that it will be fixed in the next release ???

@mickg007
It's the first time someone reports such a problem. You should check if it's not a hardware problem rather than a software one...

Im not sure about a sim free handset, All i know is when i did a master reset, even tho the signal didnt improve the quality of handling the calls did, even wehn the phone only showed 1 signal bar the phone was fine.

Master Reset, Go into your Menu, Settings, Stay in the General Tab and the scroll down to Master Reset. Do the All one (You will loose everything tho) and you will need to know the master reset code (If you havnt changed it) the code is in the manual.

I have again tried on where i would normal loose the call in the area and the call kept going, no change in quality at all. So Im happier than i was.

I dont know if Orange have done something or if the firmware has changed something, all i know is the places where i lost the calls, i dont know.

Hope this helps

@mickg007 I've seen this problem reported by several people. I too have this problem. I've logged a call with SE support to try and find out if this is a hardware issue or something that is likely to be fixed in a future firmware release.

should i go back to the k750i? I have noticed the new filmwear updates, and notice there is a test filmware available too. However have bugs such as volume being low, gprs, phone freezing and restarting, and camera making a buzzing sound, been fixed? sorry if this been asked before.

thanks
