Is this on Vista or eck's pea? Is it your desktop that's pixelated or movie playback? Have you tried playing with your graphics card's displays manager panel to set the resolution higher for the TV?

I'll leave this answer here anyway in case somebody else finds it useful.
Sounds like the resolution is too low. If right click on the desktop, select 'properties' then go on the 'settings' tab and select the TV you might be able to increase the resolution slider up a bit. What size TV is it? is it widescreen or 4:3? It helps to know so that you can find out the maximum supported resolution, that's all.

I would but i doubt my system could handle it... I'm still only running on 512MB ram and an 80GB hard drive...
