As for the xenon flash, it won't use up power since the flash light, xenon flash in other words is an energy saver according to SE. Unlike the LED lights which consume alot of power the xenon flash however which is found on like most if not all DSC's does not consume much battery power.
With regards to Burst Mode and Best Pic, keep in mind it is only for 2-3 sec's and that is it, so how much power would be used up, a very minute amount.

I am sure that xenon flashes use up huge amounts of power, and if you read
here the intensity of the lamp would be too strong for use as a lamp. If you look at those cheap disposible cameras, you can see that they need quite a while to charge up.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that it was the other way round.
