it was quite amusing when Abu & Co tried to prove that c902 suffers of purple fringning....(its loots of full size pics inside the photo section...any luck there ??)

purple fringing (who is a hardware-disease)...is when the camera cant stay focus on tiny details and produce this purple curves around hair, grass, etc)
citat: "Less expensive or less exacting lenses exhibit this behavior regularly" (which means that you should see fringing at MANY pics over and over again)

first of all. c902 have one of the best cellphone lenses out there. it focus very accurate. second, you can look at how many crops you like, you will not find any major fringing, you will find a bit noise, but thats it.

-------------------------------------------------------------
this camera suffers of purple fringing (Fujifilm Finepix S5200)...you could shoot this picture over and over again, it will still have this purple curves around the horse hair.

i took some c902 pics with tiny details and had a quick look.
(it should really appear on the green grass against the cat white body...but it didnt..hhmm)

then i really gave c902 a tuff task.... hairstraws in direct sunlight, (here it will appear directley if it was some)

NOT A SINGLE TRACE OF PURPLE FRINGING..........

so lets stop pretend c902 suffers of this hardware-disease

There's no need to prove something so obvious. In your cat crop, do you notice the blue/purple color on the tail?

Here's what GSMarena.com said in their review of the C902:

The images are crisp with nice contrast though with an obvious tendency of oversharpened edges, especially in high-contrast areas. Noise level seem relatively high, especially with sufficient light. The autofocus camera does very well at close-ups. Color rendering is relatively good; yet all colors are a bit cold. We think they need some 10% more saturation to ride high. And finally, as usual for Cyber-shots there is a lot of purple fringing - due to imperfection of the lens used.

To be honest, I don't agree with what they say about cold colors. I think the colors in C902 photos are very good, quite similar to what I got from my first Cyber-shot digicam, the DSC-F505. (My favorite! Why oh why did I have sell it!? *Slapping myself HARD*) And the purple fringing is acceptable and only apparent in very strong light.

Honestly I can’t see any blue/purple color on the tail. But Purple things happen in 1 out of 100/150 shots and it’s not camera problem it’s depend on the light condition IMO.

What should we more expect from tiny sensor?

@adnansanni,
Maybe if we zoom in a bit? Can you still not see any purple color?

From K850 to C902: the same kind of threads.
I hope not to see this kind of thread for C905 photos...
