Now, you see, this is EXACTLY what I want BUT with a 3" or so screen, basically I don't really want the phone to be bigger then my G900. If that Samsung is that size with a good camera and the touch S60 OS then I'm sold. Unless Nokia or SE can come up with something similar.
I really am after something like this and thin but a massive screen is a no no and I've a feeling this Samsung will be around 3.8" screen size which is a brick IMO.

To be honest, if

were to release the same X1 but with a 5MP camera people would still rave about it. There are a lot of these full touchscreen phones coming but they all lose out because the X1 has the optical joystick. Only the iPhone works well without a d-pad, every other phone struggles badly and you have to fumble a lot when you try to do anything quickly.
Also with these smartphones coming out, I can't see any that have a better design than the X1 with its fantastic qwerty. A phone is about experience and not just specs, if Samsung do a good job with the 12MP phone then great but I doubt the quality will make me ditch my digital camera. If the next Xperia is a thinner X1 with Symbian, it will be the best on show.

so in the end it comes down 2 either a phone with a tonne of features(nokia) or one with incredible build quality(sonyericsson).
thing with having a good quality 4n with no features is that it lasts 4 ever(my K800's still gud afta 4 yrs) but u'll be too bored to use it. so it will jus gather dust on your self.
then there's the 4ns with lots of features but terrible build quality(my N85), u check ever surface twice b4 puttin it down.
wich do u pick?

Hmm, k800 was launched in july 2006. I must be bad at math because I only get that to 2.5 years.

what's with this pesimissm...jeez the phone isn't even oficially released and people start bashing it. does it have to be a bulky brick??

First of all, I wasn't bashing it. I was just judging it from what I see.
Secondly, can't we say the same about Sony Ericsson? I've decided to leave Sony Ericsson myself, but I'm not the one here complaining how SE doesn't produce the phone I want.

If a company has a product which is better, then get that one, why are you here?

The i8910 does indeed look mightily impressive...I do really hope SE can produce something as 'inspiring' as this.

Sigh, I agree with the above ^^^^^^^^ it's just will they apply that to a product I want? If that Samsung is big, then X1 I may have to get, providing as said SE or Nokia don't match it.
I have to also admit, the Palm Pre look's damn impressive, and that's another thing, Nokia or SE Android phones?
