Well.... I am home after a very pleasant and refreshing visit to the local
Service Point.
I had long forgotten why it was that the place annoyed me, but I can now report that I remember vividly!
I am still looking for a new cover thingy for my Ir ( I 'beamed' it off
) so several dodgy shops later I decided to try my luck at the
Service Point.
The place is manned by *****!!
So I ask them if they have the ir-cover.
Wanker 1 (looking at my phone which has a non
cover on it): Those covers are not detachable.
Me: yes they are.
Wanker 1 (opening cover): Oh yes, indeed they are.
Wanker 1: Those ir plates are non detachable.
Me: It's come loose though.
(ir plate falls to the ground)
Wanker 1: Oh yes I see what you mean!
Me: So can I get a new one?
Wanker 1: 'No we don't sell those but you could always try to attach it with transparent tape.'
Such insight!!!
I would never have thought of that!!!
Then I ask them what a sw upgrade would cost.
Wanker 1: 25 euro
Wanker 2: Wasn't it 30?
Wanker 1: No I think it was 33.50
Wanker 2: It's 36 euro!
Me: [MASSIVE SARCASM] Are you sure?? [/MASSIVE SARCASM]
Wankers together: Yes! 36 euro it is.
me :

Wanker 1: Of course, if you have a serious problem you could get it done for free.
Wanker 2: But of course everybody says they have a problem so don't even think about it!
Me:
Wanker 2: Well you see, at this point
everybody says they have a problem. However that's up to the technician to decide, if it really qualifies as a problem.
Me: Technician?
Wanker 2: He works from 10 to 12 mornings and until 4 in the afternoon. After those times he's just another sales person.
Me:
Wanker 1: No repairs.
I did not get the upgrade!
Then they send me across the street to their
Specialist for the ir cover.
Specialist Wanker 1st Class: Those are not being sold separately. It would be better for you to buy a new front cover.
Me: isn't the ir part of the back cover?
Specialist Wanker 1st Class: Yes.
Specialist Wanker 1st Class: So you would have to get a whole new cover then.
Me: At what cost?
Specialist Wanker 1st Class: That would costs you 40 euro.
Me: What colours do you have?
Specialist Wanker 1st Class: None at all. I can get them in blue or green.
Me: YUK!
Specialist Wanker 1st Class: You have to understand that
considers this model to be a failure. Therefore they have stopped production of anything to do with this model. They have also stopped all support.
Me:
Specialist Wanker 1st Class: You could always try transparent tape.
Me (thinking):
So I took my failure back and I left.
The service once again was excellent.

sounds like u had fun then vlam! them people sound like they could fit in quite easily at the IT dept of my head office!
erm i dont get the google ads interupting my page, only ever see them on the forum frontpage but they're over to the right and don't get in the way of anythin?!
