i can't be agree with u sanj, in the first place there's always someone who need certain things out there whereby most of us don't need it.
second of all, streamyx sux big time whereby i find it so not reliable compare with my GPRS unlimited access. the recent Streamyx down never affect me. so 3G might give others an alternative way of broadband.
u don't need to be a CEO to subscribe to those service. RM120 per month is reasonable. it's just the matter do u fully utilize them. i subcribed for unlimited GPRS since day one they launched. thought i will use that before i get my streamyx.
but after all this month of waitting and playing around with my unlimited GPRS. i find myself addicted to this all time all location connection.
with the help of the proper equipment. i can get connected anytime and any where. i even did some online transaction immediately using my equipments and GPRS without any hassle.
more over, i found my calls charges and sms charges went down unexpectedly low. because i can reach my friends thru MSN, Yahoo and other forms of messeging system. i use to have RM150 monthly bills but after i subscribe to unlimited access, my average monthly bills is around RM160 - RM180 inclusive of the RM120 unlimited GPRS access.
and last i am sure that i will keep this service even my streamyx reached my area.
no hard feeling but that's only my 2 cents

i waiting for 3G handphone with bluetooth. lol, it will work the same as gprs + device(pda, laptop,pc) right? Why need the 3G data card? Most laptop are with wifi and bt now. we just need a 3G phone and we are online anywhere any time, even in the car on the move.

Their service is not campatible with PHONES for now ler IMHO, that's why they are only allowing PC Card users for now.
@Fulat, you're correct, but I was speaking on
MY, and NOT for the other users who need it. Just as you view GPRS as great for you and Streamyx sucks, for me its the other way round. StreamyX in my area no problems soo far, I can live without 3g for now
Oh, and the CEO thing, that was just an
example of a very busy person who need to keep in touch all the time while he/she is on the road, which brings me back to my point, the coverage is a little lame right? For now anyways...
Anyhow, to each, his/her own. Its a free world...

not refer to anyone la haiyo... just expressing my own exp. on connectivity freedom. it sad that 3g only available in klang valley. but in terms of connectivity its still alright to have GPRS as out of klang valley. some times i got better connectivity than dialup at my area too :-D

If the deployment of 3G coverage for Maxis and Celcom is faster than Streamyx.
I REALLY DOUBT THERE WILL BE NO ONE SUBCRIBING 3G.
Celcom claim they will offer 3G in Penang (beisde other city) from mid may....although detail not reveal but It should be around the area where Bayan Lepas Free Trade Zone is located (where Intel, Motorola is).....FTZ is within 2km from my house.....TM clicker office is 1.5km while USM is within 2km from my house.
GUESS what....2 yrs after I move into this housing area...there;s still no STREAMYX.
The way TM is setting up their streamyx node is very ridiculous....it is similar to the LRT station which is mostly located at non strategic or profitable area.

Well I know they are same gang but as I know at the area I am staying
now....there's this blind spot in streamyx service.
Unless they are planning to have a 3G blind spot at the same area...else it look so shameful on streamyx coverage when an area so close to the second MSC of Malaysia didn't have broadband.
