totally understand ya problem. i waited 2 years for telekom fixed line. lol... and my area is almost 70% fully occupied.
read the report of WiMAX. they comfirm new chips from Intel will start manufacture on 2006. and the range can go up to 16km. this might haeelp broandband a boost or a desaster for them.
tested the 3G the others day in maxis. pretty impressive. peak time within 12pm to 3pm at TTDI i can get a download speed from symantec web site at average 60kbps.

can't be happy about the PCMCIA card tho. cost RM1599 and only usable with laptop.
anyway... sometimes with maxis GPRS i can get around 12-16kbps download too.... pretty happy with the result already la.
it's just the matter are u willing to come out with RM1599 for a 384kbps or not. that's the reason it still hold me back. as for now i already paying RM120 for unlimited GPRS.
maybe a 3G phone could help.
but come to think of it. a 3G PCMCIA card already RM1599. i wonder how much a 3G phone gonna cost me.
start looking at new 3g phone or sticking with W800? i need advise and clue... 3G for communication and W800 for audio entertainment.
