i am about to buy my first PocketPC. a few ignorant questions-
besides the software, what is different to all Hermes vendors ?
which one is better ?
people mentioned that JasJam has a lot of software, from my experience with windows it's hard to remove all traces of a program especially from the registry. can the OS be re-installed clean ?
anyone noticed the JasJam comes with 1300 mah while the TyTN comes with 1350 ?
lastly, what's "ROM" and how would a person run a "rom" of a different vendor ?
thank you for your time.

I'm sure there are hundreds of more technical minded people here than me but I thought I'd throw in my 2pence with a quick overview of my newly purchased spv m3100 which I think is also known as the TyTN. Although there are a lot of great features to the phone I am already on my 2nd replacement within a week. I've had issues with the wifi, accepting memory cards (anything over 256mb seems to freeze the phone on a regular basis) and general power/function loss. although I wouldn't say keep well away from the phone I would urge anyone thinking of buying the unit to make sure you've got a warranty cover!
