Two leds huh? I'll have to look that up.
For the record, I was talking about a Samsung E700 not a E710...
the E700 doesn't have a flash ...
...but obviously has programming to force it to take longer exposures in dark light conditions. Can't see why the Sony W550i can't be the same.
For the record, I haven't tried updating the frimware yet... maybe I should give it ago... Its just a shame that I can't seem to install the PC Suite onto my Win2000 system - a number of errors come up during installation (various DLL objects not registering, or something)
Although it does seem to install under XP at least.

Here's a rather outstanding shot taken indoors with lotsa lotsa incadescent light, white balancing applied, and taken with very very VERY stable hands. This was with R4A, and older camera software version. This shot shows just how good the cam can get when the limited options provided are maximized
This other one taken in a really dark studio, the only light being the single LED of the phone. Doesnt look anything above average, but still way better than I expected out of a fixed focus 1.3 MP CMOS phone camera, given the shooting conditions. Fluorescent white balancing applied, R4BC020 firmware. Rather outstanding if you ask me
Reviews, anyone?

i've been using my w550 quite a lot lately, my recently broken w800 is beyond repair (let's just say that my toilet is the luckiest one in the world to have been able to have it in its possession for a brief period of time however hard it tried not to let go. phone now sits on my bookshelf, lovingly perched on a phone display contraption. you will be missed. and to think i would've learned my lesson after my mishap with my old nokia 8250.)... my w810 has not arrived yet... mr. w550 has been a very, very good companion, though he too was in peril this afternoon of suffering the same fate as its sibling. after so many years - why is the curse of the toilet starting again? lol.
taken behind a glass window of a moving vehicle:
mangoes and grapes! (i must say - it rivals kabuki's donut photo, though not a fair comparison since they were taken under diff. lighting conditions)
my trusty vans
inadequate lighting... a great combo: tempura rolls with iced coffee and a scoop of red bean ice cream after.
