Ive tried downloading the software and it keeps going and does nothing and now my phone has stopped working... It wont switch on.... IM F**K*D....

Now it has started working.... Has anyone who has got their fone updated have a look at the camera.... it seems the quality is down now especially in poor light... The camera was good quality normally.
Anyone notice that???
00:03.... Now I have restarted the phone again and have noticed that the camera seems better again..... This is strange....
I would suggest anyone who is updating do not stop it in the middle even if it looks like the update is doing nothin..... that not good idea.... SO BEAWARE..... Let it finish and you may have to do it again..... and then it will say phone updated....

I just updated to teh latest firmware youre all talking about and now i have my phone language in english ! Before i had swedish, and now i cant choose swedish again ! What should i do? What for a new update? is it possible to downgrade?

Looks like no new EMEA1 firmware is available yet, although that may be due to my phone having been upgraded via DaVinci to R55B - which seems to be a painfully slow firmware for many functions. Guess I'll just have to wait until any new versions show up on there as my phone was originally sourced from HongKong. Maybe I should've just left the same locality firmware on it and just chose English language... oh well...

i think i prefer this upgrade, the phone seems much quicker, and i prefer the auto-horizontal viewing in video.. which is also quicker loading large clips. To the guy who wanted a link to the Sony Ericsson Update Service, go here and download..

I've checked the SEUS page you've linked, but the W900i is not in the "Compatible phones" list. Is it compatible anyway?

Thanks for the link ... The link is working fine and I made the update. The upadate program worked in a strange manner. First the Service software self-updated then it recognised the phone telling me that it there is new firmware R5BC and then it tryied to download the firmware... If i had not a programm that controls the traffic of each software I have installed on my PC I would never understand when the update had finished. After a 19Mb downloading action of the m3aplatform soft it did stuck (just playing the macromedia bars screen) and then nothing . I decided to terminate the software and then I test my phone and it has the latest software R5BC and everything on my phone setting contacts ...etc stayed unchanged . Did I have to perform a format... or master reset or it does not matter and now the latest software works fine. BTW how can I check the multi language entry on the phonebook it seems that it does not work on my phone...
