in this series, the first pic of the pair uses r1bc driver with 95% compression (ver 4.7 for me - my second mod), the second pic of each pair uses the aksd 1.1 camdriver (ver 5.7).
and a great example hybrid lowlight superiority:
The tweaked R1B driver:
[b]and look at the hybrid !!

It's the 1.1 from before. I have 1.5 in my cam now and just took some quick shots, but haven't anything to post yet.

I just tried 1.4 (no spot photometry). It's still got excellent low light performance. I'll try it tomorrow for glare. If glare is liveable I'll make it my new base camera driver. (until better comes along

)

Max, lol. Not being funny but I'm finding it very difficult to see a difference in low lighting conditions in your last two pics!
I agree with you in general, however. That night-mode shots are strides ahead of where they used to be.
We just need to pick up that white balence. It really shows in your middle picture of the leaves, hey?

on the lowlight pics it's hard to tell because the pics are resized by esato - but if you look close you can see the white horizontal bars (example middle left area) - these are really obvious when viewed unresized, whereas there are no bars at all on the hybrid pics.
