I need some confirmation. Does SE stores all messages(sms,emails) in the phone memory? How about the Rss feed that we subsribe to? Is there a way to have them stored in the memory card instead so that the core phone memory wont be gone in no time and most of all, slow down the performance again..

I have just noticed that the version of the SEUS programme has now been updated to 2.6.8.1

Thanks to all for their help. I eventually had to borrow someone else's computer to do the update. Next time I'll try uninstalling everything first, maybe the new SEUS will help too.....

For all the guys having problems with upgrade and being returned to the start screen after few seconds of upgrade do the following: delete all the files in /program files/sony ericsson/update service/db/13740270/blob_fs directory or any other you installed the update service into. That helped me....

Good luck

I use different ISPs all the time for my two email accounts; I just make sure for SMTP I select the authentication option

None of the ISPs or mailproviders I have authorize that... I have called both my ISP and the phones support and also checked with a couple of other swedish ISPs. They all have made it impossible to send from any other smpt then their own. Meaning you have to use the smpt to the one you are connected to at the moment.
This sucks!! I have to have one profile for GPRS-mail, one for when I am home, and another one for when I visit my parents.. and so on for each diffrent ISP.
(I can ofcause sen mail via gprs wherever I am with the GPRS-account.. but then it starts to cost a bit if i send with big images or files.)

This is a pretty standard problem with internet providers, certainly mine. I travel on business a bit and using my laptop and local wi-fi I always have to find the outgoing server address for the provider from whichever hotel I'm staying in.

The only way around this I've found is to use GPRS via my P900.

Does anyone know what this version fixes? I had a tough time getting the last update up. Thinking of going through another has to be another nightmare. Thanks for sharing in advance.

The SEUS program is the program that helps you to update your phone, the new version of that program has nothing to do with the phoneupdate.
This program might have been updated since people having problems with the update.

Read the headline of this thread to se the latest updates for your phone.

@addixon

seems like a design decision by SE many moons ago to protect the users from themselves given that memory cards are removable and loseable
