I've got my O2 SIM in there which is working (I'm mid-port at present).

Phone is typically Voda branded firmware, I am currently mooching about for some SE/generic firmware. Anyone know of any?

I am glad to be back. Spent nearly 2 years with O2 with an.... ahem,...... XDA IIi and an XDA Exec. Both were shit beyond belief.

Now, back home with a P990i having had the 900 and 910 on Voda.

Just need to customise this baby up now! Thats the next week of messing about sorted then!

What do you mean by that? Is it branded or not? Is there any Voda branding externally on the device?

No, there is no external branding, but being from Vodafone, it has Vodafone firmware installed on it so you get the Voda screen when you start/shut down etc. I imagine all message centres and so forth are also preprogrammed in with no changing possible.

Ordered only yesterday but got next day delivery, on Voda Anytime 50, 18 month contract, phone cost me nothing. On a 12 month contract I would have had to pay £60 for the phone. I ordered over the phone directly with Voda.

Ta. I am lucky to have friends in high places at Voda who help me out a great deal. However the phones are all there for the taking now.

First impressions are that the P990i is a fantastic little phone. It has more similarities to the Treo than to lesser mobiles which is good.

Wonder if you can upgrade after 12 months on a 18 month contract?

@frontman, is there any Voda branding on the box at all?

I imagine upgrade after 12 months would be more than possible, as long as you dont take any shit from the first numbskull operator who picks up the phone. Always fight your case.

There is no Voda branding on the box.

how would you plan to do this? surely it won't install without a correct CDA?
