Hi Mr[NiK]
Can you please stop quoting a post every time you answer especially as many that visit ESATO do so via WAP so it really is a pain downloading so much info for no reason especially with big photo files.
Use the @name here to denote who you are answering as even those of us that have broadband also find it a pain and unnecessary. I have joined Johnex on his quest to stop its over use. Every time some one answers they quote a whole post it really is unnecessary and annoying.
Not having a go at anyone but just trying to make the forum an easier place to use for everyone.

Well this is my first post... and what better subject than to join the rant about Orange. As a company I hate them, they really do get on my nerves more than any other company I deal with (Yes... including BT!!!)
And yet when I ever I go to leave them, it's easier to get the free phone than mess about with a PAC code. (Kind of like when you have tooth ache and can't stop proding it!)
I have had the P990 for a little while now, and on the whole I'm happy. But I only have 14% memory from re-boot, this drops to 3% if I run Tomtom. (Or prety much anything)
What is the non Orange-fied memory percentage at reboot?
Also, I've just installed Swiss Manager Pro - what are peoples experiences with this. Does this help at all with the Orange issue?

I can tell you that on my sim free one, i have 60 mb free memory wit 2 mb used.
on reboot i have 98% free. I have run various software etc and it still hasnt crashed. Infact i dont think its gone lower than 80%.

Hi darrengf
I think you will find that is storage memory not RAM as no one has any where near 58mb Ram ever when its switched on.

i dont know if this is a another orange only omission. But i read on bengal boys website that you can record from the radio. I dont have that ability in my radio menu. Can any other orange users confirm this?

just been playing with my phone now that ive registered it and not liking the orange branding too much ! the phone works well with my wireless lan at home (orange live box) over wep although i have no clue as to how to get it running on wpa ! found that i can ncrash the phone when i use otehr apps that cam with it like webraska (sum gps proggy) so not good and the memeory runs really low very quickly ! still on a learning curve with this baby the sound is good even woth the non-walkman heaphones browsing the web is good on wi fi not tried a video call just yet. i do miss my p900 at the mo but hope the next firmware for this phone will be better and hope that sum one out there is working on how to either change the phones cda or even flash the phone with out seus to a generic firmware !
