I'll probably get the iphone after some sort of major price drop, so far from what i've read it seems to be too heavy, too big, and too expensive. And apparently keyboard is a pain to use.

I think it's AWESOME, even if i hate Apple, Steve Jobs, and theyr fans.

In Europe probabily it will sport 3G, in the states there's no 3G, that's why...

The first reviews say, that's fantastic apart from battery, voice calls, and virtual keyboard (time will tell).....voice call crappy quality... unbeleivable!!

IPhone has only one Blue Tooth profile, can't be used as mass storage device, cant save e-mail attachments or web content, no MMS, can only attach one file in e-mails, cant send SMS to more than one receiver at the time, no speed dial, no flash, no java, no java scripts (reported by some), no file browser, no cut/paste, no 3d party apps etc. etc.

The IPhone UI is outstanding, but it lacks too many standard features that even cheap phones have to be worth a purchase. However, their phones will be better over time and has already shown other manufaturers how a UI should look like. Unfortenately I'm affraid Apple realy want to lock you in in their business model and limit your choices. This can become very expensive.

At present time I'm sticking to SE, especially since I prefer small devices like T650.

@Arne Anka

Doesn't seem capable to capturing video either, though excellent playback. All in all, sharing media isn't exactly one of its strong points.

Having seen the real-world reports I have to say I'm impressed with the iphone - they've gotten a lot of things right, and actually shown the competition up in a number of areas, and I hope it will spur the likes of SE to do greater things in response.

Having said that, it's their first attempt, and it shows. There are some really critical ommissions and shortcomings that rule it out for me, for now. But I've no doubt that Apple will carry on improving it in future releases, and I may well get tempted one or two revisions down the line...

As I have been grappling between k850, iphone, n95 and the rumored n82, I'll chime in on some pros and cons between iphone and k850i:

iPhone:

Pros
-Slim, sleek, stylish
-Probably the best UI on the market for years to come
-a jack of all trades: email, phone, voicemail, music, calendar, youtube
-wifi
-huge screen
-internet browsing blows away k850
-music interface is fantastic if you like itunes

Cons:
-No 3g
-Battery, battery BATTERY
-"oh you have an iphone? Me too..."
-poor camera
-touchscreen interface? Time will tell
-itunes bs (possible drm locks)
-relative inflexibility in terms of customization (no 3rd party software)
-who knows what at&t is going to make you sign in terms of a plan to use one...probably something steep in terms of monthly charges
-No mp3 ringtones?? Are you serious?

k850i

Pros:
-Camera
-Familiar SE interface
-Familiar keypads
-Video
-BATTERY

Cons:
-Internet
-Email
-Organizaiton/Documents/Office utilities

I think it comes down to what you want to do with your phone. For a sheer multimedia purpose, I prefer the k850 at this stage. The camera, the xenon flash and the battery just make it so much more flexible in terms of what I want to do.

However, if I was more of a business type who needed document usage, and if I saw the need to surf the web a lot/watch videos, the iphone will surely be the best thing on the market.

I will wait at least a month after launch for all of the questions to be filled. Issues regarding the battery, the apple lockdown (itunes interface etc...) and the cingular lockdown (the contract that you will have to sign) need to be addressed by first hand experience. And I won't be the guinea pig

why is internet a con in the 850 when it has 3.5G and its got a decent e mail clint unlike other phones
only con i see its document viewing
