2)ability to store emails on external memory as mentioned by pnoytechie (although I think 160mb internal memory would be sufficient for me)

Not even BlackBerry or MS Mobile units can do this with full emails or emails with attachments. IF this can be done no UIQ platform , I'd think we'd see a HUGE paradigm shift of market strength!

You'd be amazed just how many personal & corporate users on RIM devices wanting this function or the ability to sync & view their .PST file from Outlook (or EXCH Outlook)!!!!

Great suggestion thus far!

#1) thank you so much for sharing your experiences with the phone and for answering the questions posted . its been informative.
#2) how do you feel about the hand writing recognition software? do you feel its a good alternative to the qwerty key board or is it one of the apps thats more for bragging rights? Thanks!

i have no SE phone before and very interested with this p1i.

Probably this has been mentioned before p990 thread before (since p1i use same OS), but i couldn't find any definite answer. my question is, is there any option in p1i to turn off the shutter sound during photo taking?

another one, have u tried "fring" in your phone? is it working fine, especially on voip side?

thanks

fring works on the p990i, so should work fine with p1i

regarding the camera shutter sound, depends on which region your phone is. I know if you buy from Asia, most from there when you turn on silent there is no sound

Like the P990 and M600 before it (and the P910 for that matter) it will have Quickoffice included in ROM - which means word and excel viewing and editing. It will also allow powerpoint viewing.
