sent an email at se support asking them if there's any news when will SE release an updated BB Client?

Surprisingly, I was instructed to have my P1i checked at a nearby SE Service Center, are they serious???

and it seems they never heard that R6E30 has been released already.

Unfortunately the 'Take it to the nearest Service Centre" seems to be the default reply to most problems. I think a lot of users have more knowledge about their product then the helpdesk

About the update btw, I have the feeling that searching in the contacts has speeded up a lot. Before after pressing the first letter I really had to wait a bit before it got at that contact and now it's almost instant. Overall speed feels better in general btw. No real differences apart from that so far from what I can tell (but improved speed is a very nice change ofcourse).

I also swapped the firmware from local to WORLD1 and perhaps a format/reset would've done the trick otherwise as well.

What was your CDA from the beginning?
Mine is CDA 162024/92 R3A.
May I ask you to describe the steps to swap to World!?

Hi, my CDA was CDA162024/54 R2A. I simply paid 20 euro and did it using the Davinciteam.com. (Downloaded the client, selected the World1 flash and flashed it, after that updating using SEUS).

Very simple and as far as I know the only way so far...

Sounds simple, thanks!
Did you download the Client version 22.26?
Which tutorial did you follow?

Yeah, just downloaded the newest client which I think is 22.26. The steps are basically in the pdf file which you can get here:

h**p://www1.davinciteam.com/down?download=cGRhX2ZsYXNoaW5nLnBkZg==

(PDA flashing guide).

All in all it IS very simple but still was exciting to try it on my relatively new mobile hehe. But fortunately everything went just fine and paying 20 euros to be able to get the updates a lot faster was worth it as well for me...

dvt is great service.

it was a great joy after dvt brought back to life my friend's P1i that SEUS killed.

I personally used dvt when i flashed my P1i to World1, i think out of the box, i went ahead flashing my P1i using dvt.

Just follow the instruction and you are good to go. btw, you might as well read dvt forum page.

I'm amazed that SE are still releasing new firmware that causes Blackberry to stop working!!!

I thought those days were gone since BB Connect was preinstalled with the release firmware R6D23!

I´m doing the Davinci now.

Should I restore my backup after Davinci is done, or should update directly with SEUS?
