The search in subfolder option i had already ticked in settings... I get the albums to show up in first menu under..artist,albums..and so on.. But not in the playlists....

Its because whatever routine that saves the playlist when you're shutting down executes only when you exit properly (i.e. by exiting from within the program).
Its very easy to solve this. All that needs to be done is placing this routine inside 'destroyApp()'. Essentially a copy-paste operation if I had the source code.
If you can somehow get me the source code I'll be happy to make this change (and a few others). The only problem is that I need the proper source code and not whatever you get by decompiling the .jar...
Ask around and PM me if you happen to find it.

my kd player doesn't show the album cover. I used fixtunes to add the album art in mp3's. What else can I do?

Well KD player cant read the mp3 file album art . So do the following.
Make folders for different albums. Then place the jpg file for the album art into each of the folders. Now rename as folder.jpg. Now go to player settings and tick the option " Load album artwork" . Now u will get album art .....
ok ..try it out ...
