Sorry for disturbing you PK once again and again but i have one important question :
Is there accelerometer in the prototype you have? if no, any idea of putting accelerometer on w960 in the future?

I thinks there is no accelerometer in this phone
it will be available only in W910 and K850

Thank you for a great mini-review!

Can you test to play a divx/xvid file with e.g. tcpmp (coreplayer)?
I just wanted to know how smooth w960i is when it comes to playback of these kind of files

tcpmp url:

http://www.a site.com/downloads/freeware/apps/tcpmp.symbian.0.71b_UIQ.zip

(i know it's a beta release and it's not stable, but i think thats the only free version for uiq)

Thank you in advance!

hi peter thanks for your response, i start liking this phone though, and seriously consider swapping with my P1i (though i am still searching for an excuse why i should )

about the body, the front facia, is it really finger print magnet? looks though it's but i need your honest opinion, coz it's very frustrating when it's very fingerprint magnetic

how does it compare to K810i in terms of fingerprint magnet?

thanks

not as bad as the K810i in relation to finger prints!

The W960i is visible with fingerprints but not too bad, used it for a good few days so far and used my finger many times, screens till looks pretty clean as we speak!

Regarding the xvid files, will test them soon!

currently at work.

But Memzee at MR said :
" ... I pretty sure the prototype I played with briefly did have accelerometer. I remember it more clearly with the K850 and W910 but I'm pretty sure the W960 had it too "

I hope that put accelerometer in the final product

Are you sure? I think it has to be turned on (-->Auto<--, Portrait, Landscape)

the SE rep in a few of the videos on youtube said that there was no accelerometer in this model. just the k850 and the w910. its not that bad, i would rather hsdpa, and the hideous circle around the camera lens to be minimized.
