you could do that but like a fifth of all the phones etc i send to the UK, customs stop and charge the recipient VAT, although i suppose a 1 in 5 chance is better than a definite

and the + 17.5% of the total which is about £54
= £360 ish

you pay the VAt at the PO before they let you have the parcel!!
