Thanks Mizzle for obtaining those answers; it's disapointing that SE views Shake Control and PlayNow Arena (the latter is disabled on VodafoneNZ firmware) as being as innovative as iPhones Web browser and Wifi capability and on par with N95's TV out, DVD quality video and 16m colour screen.

I also found it interesting that Mr Komiyama wants to give consumers a wide choice of phones and yet in New Zealand consumers have a poor selection of SE phones that arrive 3-6 months behind Europe if at all. Handsets we didn't get include K750, W900, K810, W580/S500, T650,
Z710/W710 and Z610. W800 and W810 arrived but never made it to a Vodafone shop - special order only I believe. I intend forwarding these comments by SE's president to SE New Zealand and Vodafone NZ to see what they have say about this.

Great answer:

"Our ambition is to become a top 3 global player by 2010"

Great news, this man is good

I was told that the other questions had been forwarded to the appropriate people to answer.

We did get the K750i and the W800i and they both sold in Vodafone shops, not under special order. I know this because I was tempted by both of them, but couldn't afford either of them.

But I could add many more phones to that list, and many to come. One thing that bothers me is that when they've gone way down in price overseas, we still have to pay a price as if they have just hit the market.

You're pretty lucky to have spotted a Voda branded K750/W800 in the wild! When I lost my K700, I went to buy a W800 and after looking at the dummy phone on display, the shop attendant said they had none in stock and none available at the supplier. I bought a V800 instead. Never saw the K750 in a Vodafone shop in Auckland.

I've met several owners of K700, V800, V630, V600, P990, Z600; none with W800 and one with K750 - an imported version.

Good point, I'll bring that up. I'm gonna research how far behind Voda UK we are first.
