yes... u need to open it coz the mic is close over by the flip
but that also means u can close the flip to hang up

Thanks for the answers, active flip is cool. I really like this phone because it looks unique and is different from the others in SE's portfoilo. Even for something quite low end, it looks classy and the materials look good as well.
