I wish they'd either make it a 3.5mm jack or make the fastport slimmer like even half the size would be great. My only gripe with it is that it catches when I take it out of the case.

Now the jacks
The fastport is more flexible, allowing you to use your headset or usb cables even while the T700 is being recharged. But the universal port is more sturdy(no pins to break) though it restricts you to one cable connector at a time.
