Sorry if this question has been answered before...
If I connect my phone to the computer via bluetooth, how far away can I go before the connection is lost...?
I mean, does the signal reach the phone if an object is in the way?
My computer stands on the floor beside my bed...
Best regards, Patrik

NOrmally you can go 10 meters away from the connection point with Bluetooth. But be aware of obsticles. My experience is that within 5 meters is OK.

@JAYV,
Are you trying to connect using the WebViewer app or the built-in browser?
What exactly happens? To you get connected to GPRS in stead of Bluetooth? If you give more details, perhaps I or someone else here'll be able to help you out....
Cheers.

ok, now this really weird...
on my last post (day 2 of my attemps), i couldn't go online using BT/DSL/P800 web browser... i gave up at 2am, need to rest...
today (day 3), i was going to resume my attemps, i managed to go online on the first try... i havn't changed any configs yet, i am using the same config i left yesterday before going to bed... anyway, i think the key here is to reboot after every change in the config, be it on BT or DSL... i have ICS active now, i don't know i can go online if ICS is disabled, i'll try that tomorrow...
here's a summary of my attemps:
day 1:
installed latest driver for my BT (billionton), didn't even bother loading the cd that cme with it...
every thing worked except file tx... couldnt send to fone from pc, nor from pc to fone...
can't go online using BT/DSL and P800 browser...
day 2:
uninstalled billionton software, installed latest widcomm softwre... widcomm cant see my BT dongle, uninstalled widcomm, installed billionton again...
i opened my P800 folder from BT Network Neighborhood...
i accidentally dragged a GIF file to that folder and file tx was started, i didn't know that was possible
somehow, file tx works now... probably from all that install/uninstall i did earlier...
still can't go online using BT/DSL and P800 browser...
day 3:
today is day 3...
file tx doesn't work, again... managed to go online now using BT/DSL...
error msg, "Could not connect to the remote device."
remote device is P800..
used file manager on P800 to close all open apps...
tried to drag file to P800 folder on BT neighborhood, file tx worked...
file tx now back to normal... BT/DSL connection is dead again...
i did a stop/start on my BT device, BT/DSL works again, file tx dead again...
my conclusion, File Tx and BT/DSL cant b used at the same time...
now this is how my P800 is configured:
i didn't touch the browser preferences...
i added a new gprs internet account, leave the default values alone or just follow the instructions on this thread on creating a new gprs internet account...
i didnt bother changing/adding wap settings...
now, back to your new internet account, set that as your Preferred account if u want to connect using BT/DSL...
many thanks to all who contributed to this thread, to many to mention, but u know who u are...

Well friends...this is on surfing via BT..
...finally I am surfing over BT andmy cabel Internet connection..
..still have some problems..unstable connection...BT sw from Tecom crashes and has to be reinstalled...

.but when it works it is fast as.H`´´L and just fantastic..have tested in both locations mentioned in earlier posts and it works just fine (as long as connection lasts)..
My problems: The Tecom sw says connection refused from other side but it connects anyway (BT serial port) and after that SE sw works until the link breaks down. Any tips on this would be great for me...
Cheers...and enjoy P800 it is just great...and it will be even better..
