I found a problem with 'Dark Themes' - the highlighting of links is perfect now - but the 'text box' characters in white now have a white background

- it is impossible to see what you have typed...
I have changed to default P1i theme to appraise the new Opera and I'm liking it

yeah this is a resource hungry program, and playing music and running this as well as having push email active really slows things down. But what is the extra ram there for if you are not using it?
Let us just hope that the "restarted to improve performance" message don't start to appear
..unless Opera eats memory from the SE apps, that probably won't happen.
Don't know about slow- downs, either... I'm running the walkman app in the background, push- mail.. a few other programs, and so on, and the phone runs exactly as slow as ever. Tab- switching is remarkably good.. the scrolling solution as well is brilliant. Only problem I have is that I can't start anfy call- manager any more. And while it ran, I got a bunch of UIQ- spawned "out of memory" messages, even if I had 50Mb free. Would be great if that could be sorted out.
Next on the testing- things should be the text copy and paste interface, imo. Somehow disable the screen- pane, and then scroll when marking something on the edge of the screen...? That would probably work if you want to mark something. And possibly changing the text- input fields higher than one line to fit with the zoomed- in screen width (don't know if that's doable, or just too slow.. alternative might be to use a full- screen uiq input field instead when selecting and typing the text.. That would help immensely with the pauses when typing as well, I'm guessing..)?

Yep thats the great thing about Opera widgets they should be cross compatible across all platforms, the ones you see when you go to widgets.opera.com on the mobile phone are the ones we've designed to be mobile friendly, often you get widgets which are too big or too complex
Glad your having fun though!
