Trust me, it SUCKS. It is slow, camera software isnt that good, no EQ, no full PDF/Office viewer (only trial), to change picture/ringtone/alarm signal is a big pain in the ass (you get to select from ALL the media from the phone, so if you have 500mp3 and 30 alarm signal, then you browse alarm signal trough 530 files), poor battery life, no RDS, extremely poor support, no kinetic scrolling makes it harder to browse contacts/files, unless you hack it you cant install any good application, media has no search function, etc.
So if you use the phone only for talking, then it is good. But if you use it for more that that, drop it. It has a good hardware, but the software sucks. If we get some features from that list, then it will worth it.
I would stay away from this phone. Get X10 instead, soon it will get android 2.2 and it will dominate. That looks cool and is fast.

EDIT: Raafat keep up the good job porting things from vivaz to Satio (and extracting goodies). Respect man.

Thanks. I would stay away from Sony Ericsson phones for at least 2 years to give them time to fix up their business.

I dont think they will ever fix it up. So many changes in the company, and OSs and everything... What are they doing now?? a Satio 2 to fix what wasnt delivered in Satio? i expected a very good phone and got a pice of dog crap. an 5800 with faster GAMES and 12mp camera... for me its not worth it. I would gladly exchange it to an X10. My luck is that i got it for free from my dad.. but he payed for it, so it does not matter, its still family $. and at the beginning i drooled for this phone that now i sh!t upon. I am very unhappy! they couldnt even add a stopwatch and a timer... and some free PDF and word readers... Waiting for the N8.

2 years...basically the time it will take for me to finish using this Satio. Honestly.they don't deserve my business anymore.

The x10 is a great phone but there are still bugs in their community too. I still love this phone for the fact that it is a great camera and has xenon flash, it is the only thing keeping me from selling it and getting the x10.

The camera isn't so great. Go to the C901 photo thread here in Esato and see how it easily blows Satio's performance. For a flagship camera phone, with 12MP, the overall camera results are just average and far away from the supposed.

like i said in the post pictures with your satio topic, untill i strted camera, and switched the EV and waited for it to apply, the subject went away :/ this phone has the slowest camera ever! wait 2-3 seconds for a simple EV change?!! ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All new phones are crap, almost only because of software. Satio's great camera and good CPU has been destroyed by CRAP Symbian implantation. And X10 is again great, except its screen that doesn't support MT, but again destroyed by old 1.6 Android and laggy SE SW. SW engineers are a bunch of lazy assholes. I hope they all get fired, and the company goes bankrupt.

well X10 is getting 2.2 and that is fast. And MT... it has MT as i know it (2-3 fingers at once). Only thing i like and keeping me at (kept me untill now) SE is the design. They look so cool. But thats about it.

Heres another thing about my Satio that pisses me off and I never remember to post it until now.

When I connect my Satio to my Mac, it is always disconnecting and reconnecting itself (sometimes up to 10+ times per session), can you guys imagine how difficult it is for me to unload cameras and get mp3's on the phone? sigh...

I'm assuming the connection is damaged but when charging my phone, it doesn't disconnect, at least I don't think it does. Anybody else have this issue?
