That delay rumour is a load of nonesense, even Nokia have said so themselves, see this link.

@ norbi_nw - im kinda wishing now id paid another Ģ10 to get next day delivery. If it is released on 30th September i should have mine no later than 5th October. Expect lots of Satio comparisons.

N8 will be good but i think E7 will be better with the bigger screen!

The E7 will have a more basic 8MP camera with fixed focus and LED flash which is both an upgrade and a downgrade compared to the E90 which it is supposed to replace. And the E7's display is bigger but with the same resolution as on the N8. Better for older people I guess...

Now if Nokia had put everything the N8 has into the E7, it would have been fantastic. As it stands, its a lesser phone than the N8.

@ jake20 - how did some random footage of an American football game persuade you to buy a N8 ? am i missing something ?

Come on ares, you should know by now that just because some markets or firmware versions get loads of bugs, it does not mean ALL have the same problems.

I knew two people who had N97's from almost the day it was released (i was very jealous), neither of them were at all unhappy with the software, only with the actual size of the phone.

It was the same with the Satio, mine worked bug free almost from day one and still does 1 year on (almost). It all depends on the firmware region and/or operator branding.

You are kidding right? The n97 was so bad that even Nokiaīs CEO had to admit itīs faillure...it was a p990 style debacle. Poor firmware/UI + underpowered chip + severe lack of RAM (You mention the Satio - no lack of RAM or processing power there) = disaster. Not that i think that will happen with the n8 (at all...i think it will be great...to bad it runs symblargh)
