Anyone know if the ultra wide camera has auto focus?
EDIT - Found this.
Maximum fps will depend on shooting environment and settings. Up to 20 fps continuous shooting with AF / AE is available for 24mm camera. 16mm and 70mm camera can shot up to 10 fps AF / AE.
One of the gripes GSM Arena has with the S20 Ultra is no auto focus on the ultra wide sensor so it's a 1up at least for the M II.

Ultra wide seems to be imx563, used as main camera of X5.
Dual Pixel for UWA, Phase detection for "zoom".
When they said XZP had motion eye, I thought it was going to be fast like this new one.
Phone Arena was the only site that gave more than 8.1/10 to S20 Ultra.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
All them say the same: cam issues, fingerprint scanner is bad like s10+, too expensive, 120Hz kills battery.

The camera and fingerprint issues (my s10+ unlocks instantly, Note 10+ is slightly worse) I get but the price? Of course it's expensive, it's their flagship device. Still cheaper than their closest competitor in Apple (pro Max).
And do rememeber there's 3x s20 variants, no one is forcing you to buy the most expensive one, the other 2 are still very much flagship devices. It's unfortunate phone prices are like this but thank Apple (mainly) for that. Even the Chinese manufacturers are gradually increasing their prices.
The rumoured pricing for the Xperia 1 II is also, you guessed it, expensive..... Sony's flagships have seen higher prices with the last couple of launches.
Samsung will have no problems selling tonnes of ultras at their asking price. The Sony? No where near as many especially at such price point. People (mass markets) don't pay prices like that for a xperia. Of course I'd love for it to be different but unfortunately it's not. End of the day these are all businesses, they care about more profit.
Regarding 120hz draining the battery quicker. Ah, like this wasn't to be expected. It's clearly going to use more battery, but the trade off is worth it imo. I've had ample time with the full s20 range and high refresh screens are fantastic and can't wait til it's more mainstream in phones. Simple as that.
There's no need to bash Samsung or other brands for that matter just for the sake of it.
Any who, back to the 1 II. Surely they could have gotten some proper hands on previews up by now, at least some legitimate camera samples.

In this video he stated Sony told him to remove it first... Likely they do not want other companies to copy their moves.

@500 just ignore hawk. He's no better than the Samsung fanboys coming to bash Sony phones here. He's doing the same to Samsung as if Sony is doing so much better. Everyone's got problems. Simple as that. Already asked him to chill ok the Samsung trolling but he's obviously not able to control himself.
No hands on yet makes me think there are issues to be ironed out. Even in the hands on video that has since been taken down, he said he was unable to utilize the camera software because it wasn't ready. That's probably the main reason Sony asked him to take it down. Also , possibly so they didn't seem like they were playing favorites with media outlets.
@tai - what could the be copying from the video? All the specs are public now.

Is dvs gone or still there?
And about phone arena, just a useless site and nothing else. Phonearena is full of apple fanboys and there reviews are full of shit
The highest rated phones in Phonearena are apple phones 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The biggest joke in phonearena is the pros and cons section
The new isp in sd865 is able to handle 960fps videos right
So why did sony omit it?
It was a feature bought into the mainstream by sony hope they bring it back

Usually it works like this with continuous shooting. Sunny days yield maximum shots, whereas night photography can half the amount of it.

X1 was $950. Phone had issues with FPS, cam software was not complete with few bugs, no jack and small battery (but lasts more than expected). It should not have all these issues.
€1400 is too expensive, no matter brand.
But it cant have all those issues. There is no excuse.
Look at the budget of Samsung Mobile, phone should be the best ever without too many issues.
Not just PhoneArena, all other are giving less score all thought it was going to get.
If 1 ii is indeed €1200 and get 7/10 from tech sites, it will be no excuse too.
Unacceptable....
