Im opposite. I cant use mouse n keyboard. except for my old PC game frontier elite 2

You can never have the same level of aiming accuracy and realistic aiming speeds with a joypad over a mouse, with a mouse you simply point and click to shoot. Just like a real gun.
When i play games like SOCOM, i can spend 5-10 seconds trying to align a headshot at point blank range into the back of the enemy. In that time, his mates have a chance to come along and finish you off, or for him to turn around and see you fumbling. With mouse aiming you can pick off enemy at much further distance at a much more realistic pace and accuracy.

1.6 is soo good, cant stop playing it!
i never could get used to the contorls of games like timesplitters...i could never get accuracy just point in the relavant direction, shoot, and hope it hits sum1. With the mouse it requires less thinking and more headshots

Using a joypad in a FPS makes the game feel like it was made for kids. Whenever i have played Ghost Recon on PS2 although a good game its obvious how UBI have had to make the game easier for the console market with its joypad controls.
Enemy miss almost everytime they shoot and take about 10 seconds to kill you. This is to give the player time to aim with the analogue stick. On the pc version, its all instantaneous. If an enemy sees you, he points his gun, aims and shoots. Then you're either dead or very lucky.

hmm... i'm tempted to get the new splinter cell game because its not exactly a fast paced shooter. Its more stealth and accuracy kinda thing so the joysick shouldnt be too bad. If its anything like metal gear solid 2 then i will buy it.

I dont have a problem with the ps2 control,there is a sensitivity adjustment in g recon anyway. Play solo shooter with sniper gun for a slower paced game,although i like a 12 man room,6 on each team,last man standing. Its just a case of knowing the maps though ;-)
