ANYONE?
Hi can anyone tell me how to access the PREVIOUS update, seeing as the new one is a little dubious, and I still have the firmware version I was given with the phone. I presume that one will be like heaven to me and I can wait till everything is fixed with the newest.
My version for p910i is
R3E008 PHONE
R1A30 ORGANISER
CDA 162006 / 5 R1A05
Thanks

I have just DOWNGRADED from Organizer version R5A02 (I have CDA 162005/3) to Organizer version R4A10.
SE did not put on their web site CZ language pack support for R5A02. Strange thing is, that on 19/5 for my very same CDA was on SEUS mentioned R5A02, for the same CDA it shows R4A10 today! So it means to me, that R5A02 was taken back. Too many problems, huh?

after few days with R5A, it seems there isn't any much difference from the R4A. It did gave me a problem though... the restore didn't work because one of the file with chinese character makes the whole ECS file corrupted. So I have to manually reinstall the apps and manually transfer the calendar, sms, etc back to its place.

On FC, the 1 key doesn't give a space anymore, now only the # key gives a space (i use UK English language version).

Overall speed performance... slower than R4A. Transferring from one folder to another with several apps under each folder takes approx half second before the entries are refresh.

Hi I have asked before but no one has made me any the wiser but does the fact that my phone is ornage branded and they dont have any updates and the Ericsson site wont ALLOW me to update mean my phone will always be with the old firmware? I would like to increase speed which to be honest is the only reason why I NEED an update everything else is fine and does speed ACTUALLY EVEN increase with the update?
My version for p910i is
R3E008 PHONE
R1A30 ORGANISER
CDA 162006 / 5 R1A05
Thanks

The increase in speed is actually a side effect.
The best way to increase the speed is to format and reinstall everything from zero. I guarantee it works !!!

Of course this is not an option for most of us (I've done it only once), so I suggest:

1. Remove the theme you are using and switch to the standard themes. They are much less heavy on the OS than custom themes.
2. If you are using anti-aliased fonts (SMan), try disabling them.
3. Kill applications on background often.
4. Put your memory card in a card reader and use windows to defragment it.

From my experience, the 4 points above weight only 40% of total speed. The real increase in speed is to format and reinstall everything like a brand new phone.
