I received this week my new K750i from Vodafon, and its my first mobil with a branding...soo I am new to this stuff.
I have a question concerning the CDAs: there is no Generic CDA for Germany, only the branded ones are listed. So what should I do?. Can I take for exaple the one from the UK (GenericIEUK CDA102338/38) and choose the rigth language ?
Currently I have R1C004, EU_2, CDA102338/1 R31A

Want I want to do is to make my phone unbranded and to change to a
better firmware, that is solving some of the phone's problems.

So I have some general questions first:
1. - After unbranding, is my phone going to work with the Orange SIM
Card Properly. Will I still have my inclusive minutes?
2. - Is there any way to save my phone's settings like GPRS account,
message settings and the rest
3. - Should I delete everything I have put from the memory card and the
phone memory
4. - Can I just remove the memory card while doing the procedure in
order not to delete anything from it.
And some serious questions:
6. - How should I know which CDA string to enter
7. - Does the Davinci client put the latest firmware on the phone
8. - After doing the procedure is it 100% sure that later when I put the
new firmware the SEUS is not going to put the branded Orange firmware
(to rebrand it)
9. - Where Can I see what are the changes with new firmware, what does it fix?
And if somebody is free this evening and uses ICQ I will be very glad if he can explain all the stuff to me. My ICQ number is - 233229425

Wow - what a great setup from Davinci. Used it twice now, and it's even better than the Sony system.
I now have a debranded Vodafone K750 with R1L002 CDA 102338/38 R6A firmware. Sweet.
All I need now is the SIM lock removed. I'm sure these guys won't take too long to sort it...
If anyone has any queries, I'll try and help...

Luckily for you, I also had an Orange-branded K750i that I have no unbranded with DaVinci.
Answers to your questions...
1. Yes, it will not affect your contract/tariff in any way.
2. No need. After you've flashed, go
here and send the WAP and MMS settings.
3. You'll want to backup the phone memory as this will be wiped, but no need to do the memory card.
4. You probably can, but there's honestly no need.
5. There was no question!
6. Assuming you're in the UK, use these settings:
- CDA Number: CDA102338/38
- CDA Revision: R6A
- Model: K750i
- Language Variant Name: EUROPE_2
7. DaVinci flashes whatever you ask it to flash, so just select the latest.
8. As long as you change the CDA, it won't rebrand it.

2. - The CDA string contains of 2 parts. So the one I have now and the one you are telling me to put:

The first part is just the same - Is this normal?
3. - After reflashing will I be able to put the new non-branded firmware each time there is a new version?
4. - And the last one. The cable I should use is this one, is it?
I don't have more questions for now. Tomorrow I will do that unbranding.
