When SonyEricsson would use a bigger sensor to compete with
NOKIA N8 1/1.9" sensor?
While the amazing
Satio only has 1/2.5" and VIVAZ 1/3.2"

^If the quality of the picture taken by the N8 camera is not "remarkably" better than that of Satio and Pixon12, then having camera hardware like the N8's is just for marketing purposes or plain useless. Although the pics that Nokia showed in the last couple of weeks were very promising, still we have to wait for the commercial version to finally pass our judgment onto it.
What I am waiting for SE is to use liquid lens technology which is well-suited for cameraphones. That type of lense will produce better quality of pics even if it have optical zoom compared to the glass lens that is widely use right now.
I just hope that Walkman Vivaz will have top notch audio playback through headset and stereo speakers. Moreover, I hope the superb audio quality is included in the SAtio 2 or Vivaz with 12 mpx.

Apparently the X10 is the fastest selling DoCoMo handset ever selling 120000 in just the first 3 weeks on sale in Japan. I must say this definitely sounds good for future phones as SE must finally have worked out what sells!
Actually, its the best selling smartphone not the best selling phone, because feature phones are much more popular in Japan-and more powerful than a lot of smartphones. They just have proprietary OSes made for DoCoMo. Remember, people in Japan use their phones to watch tv and as digital wallets, more than they use them as mini computers. That could change soon with some of the new smartphones coming out, but currently smartphones lag far behind "feature phones" in sales in Japan.

There's a reason all right, it seems the
competing smartphones are worse -
There's no greater evidence of this than the word this week that Sony Ericsson's Xperia X10 -- a phone that's been met with lukewarm reviews, including from Engadget Japanese's own Ittousai -- has allegedly become NTT DoCoMo's best-selling smartphone in history, a fact that would seem completely inexplicable in any other market globally. What makes it possible in Japan, of course, is DoCoMo's historically lame selection of true smartphones, a lineup that currently includes localized versions of the HTC Magic, and the original HTC Touch Diamond and BlackBerry Bold. What's more, many of these devices integrate poorly with popular carrier services on account of their super-tight control of the operating systems running across the featurephone lineup, something they've got less control over with a device running Android or Windows Mobile.

so theres few smartphones releasedd in Japan, or few that sell well. But the x10 has been the best selling in history there, nothing can change that (yet). No matter if theres only 4 smartphones, the x10 was the best selling one. Its not as if its been the only smartphone ever released in Japan. We should be congratulating SE.
Engadget clearly dont like

or many others for that matter. Apart from Apple.
Im no fanboy, but

have achieved this and hats off to them.

exactly my thoughts, when you read the Engadget post regarding the X10 being the fastest selling smartphone in Japan you don't see anything that says SE doing a good job or hats off to them, or two thumbs up or maybe just even one. Hell, the whole article was talking about how Japan's smartphones weren't good or were tightly locked by the carriers, yes it was one of the reasons why the X10 became the fastest selling smartphone but we should also give credit where it's due and that's to SE for achieving that goal. I really don't like Engadget but I personally find their site pleasing to the eyes and the news that they bring to the table is above average, but you can clearly see their love for Apple....which I don't like. Still, congratulations to SE for achieving this milestone with the X10, it really is a great device. Sadly, it's not available here in the US yet (for the AT&T 3G bands anyway).

ok now prepared the x10 successor with multitouch, super amoled, 8mp camera with better module, same 4 inch, dual speaker, bluetooth 4.0, whatever android available next, and xenon flash.
(the galaxy s have most of them, just short in term of camera and flash..and design.bluetooth 4.0 still not available)
But they also have potential to make disaster out of it.
Like with WM Xperias: X1 was great from the beginning, X2 is still a disaster after months waiting for the
good firmware.
Nothing is for sure in this company.

Yeah the 'a' versions seem to take longer. We have two main networks here, one gets the X10, one will get the X10a. The X10 has been released but no sign of the X10a yet! In saying that though, it shouldn't be very far away. And with the current US network focus on Android handsets, I doubt yours will be too far off either.
