Restricted to one only...
Probably Nero or Winamp. Can't decide on an outright numero uno yet. Never tried Musicmatch Jukebox though.

Right, fancy paying upwards of £5000 (starting bid, approx R70 000) on a Go Kart? Oh, this one's a bit different/special... it has a jet turbine bolted onto it!
Sigh, the things one finds on eBay...

Have not played around with other media player except for Windows Media 10 and iTunes...both are not perfect but I find WM10 to be the nicest...iTunes is good for intergration with your iPod but since we don't have an iTunes store in SA the advantage over WM10 is mostly cosmetic.

I tried the iTunes experience once just to try it out, but as I don't bother with anything iPod related, I uninstalled it. I also don't like to be restricted to using one make's software media bundle for everything.

Apart from the music players already mentioned, I also utilise Windows Media 10 a fair bit, possibly because I'm so used to using WM, whereas Nero's media stuff has been a more recent addition to my PC. (excluding Nero CD/DVD burning software, which I've been using for the past few years.)

Hey Wanga. Not fair.Just one.lol Remember Im mainly speaking in terms of listening to music.Me.Im a Winamp man but installed Nero Media on pc last night and Im converted. Its not much to look at in terms of media library, playlist manager ect but the sound quality is out of this world. Its the 20band equaliser that gives it the edge for me.So Nero(1) Winamp(1) WMP(1).Still waiting for Wangas choice.

Dammit...does your PC have some kind of 'Highlander' syndrome, ie. "There can be only one!"

For pretty much the same reason you mentioned, this (pic below) for music... (excuse the lines...photo of part of my PC's monitor) :

...but 'Power DVD' for er...DVD's.

LOL, OK I choose the former if I HAD to choose only one media bundle. Well for now anyway.
We'll see which way the wind(-ows...) blows next week...

Ya, I really enjoy my music and my hi-fi separates and home theatre stuff that I've got in the house, so that Nero player's 'theme' and layout does kinda float my boat, apart from the obvious performance of the player as well.

Yeigou sounds rocking, but did vodacom and mtn not threaten to charge 20 and 30 bucks respectively per meg for any voip usage? What happened with that?

So,what mediaplayer? I use an open source player called VLC media player. Why?Cos why use 20players when1will do. I use it for mp3's and m4a because it is there, but the thing is,this player plays any video. Even when downloading videos via filesharing it plays chunkily all the video that has been downloaded so far. It plays trashed media files. I always say,if VLC does not work, delete the file. So yeah, at work i sometimes use winamp, but got foxytunes installed in firefox, so got my media player controls at the bottom of my browser. Foxytunes controls just about all media players. Get it if you surf a lot on your pc.

Yeah, so i have turned into a irregular poster...i blame work. I spend very few hours in the office, and when, got admin. So yeah, the evenings are controlled by Final Fantasy 3... Will try to stay up to date, and post more...

About the local loop unbundling, we all want cheap internet, but i doubt it will happen through land lines soon. Neotel got awarded the 800mHz range, so internet will most likely be wireless, not as fast as wired, but come on, telcon's idea of fast line based internet is not exactly fast, so wireless wireless will easily be able to compete. Another thing, and this is the big thing, the SAT-3 line which us taxpayers paid for,and telcon owned till recently, will be freed by november. From there things will just get better. It already is, i mean, every day there is news of internet packages that is cheaper than yesterdays cheaper packages...

So yeah, things can only get better:)
