Yeah, TFIF indeed.

@ HOBBS,
2 Gigs...keeewl. I presume most of that memory space will be taken up by drum & bass/house/dance music tracks? Did you get it from Bid Or Buy? BTW, do you ever listen to The Chemical Brothers?

Hehe! Delarey would be giggling in his grave:) but along with that, he was a very nice character, no racism and such from his side. More of a JFK, tragic death. But yeah, wikipedia the man, should make for interesting reading. I personally am no big fan of the song though.

@ hobbs, cool. I got my card via bidorbuy for 500 smackers almost a year ago, which was a great deal since the going retail rate was well over 1k for it then. This baby is still serving me well. Only sucky thing, too many files slows things down. Mp3s should not give big problems, but if you have quite a few mp3s and web pages(for later reading, with all the images and all) and tons of pictures on, things gets slow. Moral of the story: dont let your pictures stack up. Keep your file count in the hundreds, not thousands.

So did anyone actively go picket? I was at a private school, very empty, but half the school are on camping trips and such.

Oh yeah, and on a more interesting note, one of the teachers told me that she is going to stop giving extra classes, as too few students actually show up. What she will do in the future is give the 2 or 3 students who actually do want extra lessons the lessons via mxit. I think it is a good idea. Means she is not locked down to the school in the afternoons. I suggested to her to get internet at home and use googletalk to handle the extra lessons as she would have keyboard advantage. She might just do that.

School is changing:)

LOL, no doubt Van Blerk's De La Rey will be heard around Loftus on Saturday,...at least it'll make a change from 'Liefling'.
Quite a strong, emotive Afrikaner-nationalist-uniting anthem, that.

Hi Jojo,
It's not sunny at the moment...it's dark! LOL, I know what you mean.

Will be uploading N73 pics on here and in your non- pic thread later today. We went out for a nice romantic meal by one of my fave Thai restaurants, called Kwan Thai, which is along the Thames River. (A bit expensive, but what a great restaurant.)
Here's one of the N73 pics taken tonight...gonna get some shut-eye shortly.

Have a great weekend too, mate.
BTW, it's the Italian round of the Motorcycle GP this weekend; always one of the highlights on the racing calendar. Mugello is an awesome track nestled in the Tuscany hills.

Will try to watch the GP race this weekend . . . that's one thing NICE about watchin' these motor-races at Star Sports-channel . . . they alternate the skeds on weekends (Moto GP-F1 race), that's why REST assured that you'll be watchin' QUALITY shows . . . every week !

Enjoy your Sat & Sun pal !

The march in Port Elizabeth went quite well. The pic below is of Market Square, and was taken at about 09h00 before any picketers had arrived.

The first group arrived at about 10h00, and consisted of about 50 Naptosa and Hospersa and members.

What is noteworthy is that most of this group consisted of middle-aged folks of various shades (we really ARE a rainbow nation!) who, in most others professions, would be at a comfortable enough level of income not to embark on such a form of protest. The two remaining pics (taken from about 70metres away) are of part of the 2000+ strong crowd which had gathered by the time i took said pics. The bulk of the marchers had not yet arrived at that stage.

The camaraderie that was felt was evident to quite a few people, and it was rather funny to see portly matrons of paler hue engaging in the toyi toyi, much to the applause of our more well-versed darker hued brethren. An impromptu lesson in the finer aspects of the dance was given to a group of SAOU teachers by an SACP flag-waving lady of at least 65 years of age (i later determined that she is a doctor from one of the rural hospitals) who demonstrated that the knees need to be lifted to chest height at least (provided that there's no obstruction in the form of latent abdominal muscle aka potbelly, as in my case, lol).

All in all i'd say that the march went off very well, with no unsavory incidents of which i'm aware. Hopefully sanity will prevail and a decent offer will be made and accepted asap.
