It may not help to hear this, people may have already told you many times, but try to think that there is usually someone somewhere worse off than you are. You could be in a Sudanese camp surrounded by troops supposedlly protecting you that you can't trust, or the father of a murdered child or children in the Russian city of Beslan. There are some seriously evil and bad things going on in the world,
Life has a tendency to go in cycles. There will be times where you hit rock bottom, but things can, and usually will get better. You will bounce off the bottom and rise up to the top. I've often found that when things look black, often there is a silver lining, and good can come from bad (or evil!). I can empathise with you on the friends moving away thing, frustrating but on the other hand you can't say 'stay, I'll be bored without you!!' And if they're true friends, you'll either still be in contact with them somehow, or when you do see them again, you can talk as if it was yesterday that you last saw them.
