There are quite a few sites with pretty good ebooks in Mobipocket format, as well as one or two sites with more recent books, although these sites don't advertise their presence. Mobipocket is now owned by Amazon, or so i hear... and they allow the app to be downloaded gratis from their site,

I haven't tried out Mobipocket either.
I have a good few eBooks on the PC with good ol' WinRAR, but that's about it at this stage.

Dan Brown... wonder just how much the movie version of his 'The Da Vinci Code' helped boost his worldwide exposure, although the novel had pretty much established that already...
Now hang on..with a username like 'Kryptik', it shoulda been a tad more obvious as to your appreciation of such a specific genre...
I believe that they may make a movie version of Angels and Demons at some point too.

I am a bit of a book pirate...i spend time looking for books on the net, get them to txt format, then split them into chapters and then read them with Readmaniac on my phone. I can already see the pages being included in library books,(in the front, before you read the book) the whole thing of: would you steal a this? Would you steal a that? Pirating our books is like knocking off old people at knife point....hehe!
I must say there are a ton of legal books out there that you can download and put on your pc or your phone.
Which reminds me, the next harry potter is due this month...i recon he will find out that he is actually the bad guy and that voldemort was trying to preserve life on earth...hehe!
Then the following harry potter book: harry potter gets an i-phone. It follows the story of harry out of school, so he gets this i-phone, and he decides it is so cool that he gives up magic altogether...news reports of j.k. Rowling and steve jobs being best buddies a year before the books official release...

Speaking of BOOKs . . . I also like the ones which were made by: Tom Clancy, most of which were made into movies too: Hunt For Red October and Sum Of All Fears to name just two . . . I have strong doubts that this guy was an EX-CIA agent
Mornings to all, specially to the - Professor

Gooooooood morning, Jojo! Greetings from the (nutty?) professor!
Yeah, I really enjoyed both those movies based on Tom Clancy's works, although I'm not sure about Sean Connery making the most convincing Russian nuclear submarine captain...

Good morning all
Spot on Wanqa, i love that genre of writing, and speaking of Tom Clancy, his Net Force books are brilliant!!
Francois, which type of books do you have in text format, boet *spoken with an acquisitive glimmer in the eye*? I've quite a few good books in prc format, so if you've a programme which could convert them to a friendlier format for you i'd be happy to zip them up and send them your way. I've books by authors like Michael Crichton, Mario Puzo, John Grisham, Stephen King, and the oh-so-vital Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus range
