you mean the light its used only for battery but when you get a message you will see in the back a yellow light even at the number 5.and by the way the battery signal light is for signaling that you have low battery.

No, I know what youy mean.
But when my phone is in standby and a message comes, I can't see anything bleeping. No number 5, no light.
I assume that the no 5 blinks when a message comes for some seconds and that is all.
My P990 was blinking the led until I read the message, not just for few seconds.

That's the 'In air' flash menu in action, is your phone branded or something, as it should be on there??

sososojerk, the lowbatt LED is only one colour on T650, P990 etc is 2. However, doesn't mean SE COULDN'T implement a flashing call reminder from any other LED on the phone, it can be done with the cam LEDS on K750/W800/W810 etc....with a patch, but in their usual wisdom, SE don't seem to think it'd help anyone......

i feel pretty dumb right now, but i don't know what branded means. i'm guessing you mean is it locked?
my phone is locked to my provider, which is '3' here in australia. does this mean i can't operate this function?

My phone is also from 3 in Australia too, and it also doesn't have flash lite menus, because 3 removed the function from the firmware, i heard. I've been told you can fix it by flashing the firmware to a non-3 version with Da Vinci which enables them.
