Sounds like its similar to how the iPhone works. The first time I played with my friends iphone I found that it wasnt as responsive to touch as my p1i. After playing with it for a while I realized it just needed a little more pressure. Those that have the 960 would you say that the screen is scratch resistant?

No its not similar at all to the iphone. The iphone is responsive at the most gentle touch. Have you used an iphone? It sounds more similar to the LG prada or veiwty.

I typed that post on an iphone! Yes the phone is responsive however imho it needs a little more pressure than my p1i. only because of the scratch resistance. i tried dabbing my finger on certain icons like i do on the p1i and it wasnt responsive. My friend who was playing with my p1i, who owns the iphone even commented on how much more sensitive my phone was to his. If i put that much pressure on my p1i id need a new screen within a week.

i got late to work today.. used the alarm function "time" and put the info on the first spot "Wake up" i had the phone on silent as i always have had with my other SE phones "none uiq" and now this morning the alarm did not sound just vibrated?!? i mean the SOUND should always be heard eheter way if i am using it in silent mode, cauz its an alarm, was so on my t68 my t610 and my k700 and my latest w900, what did i do wrong? "no i havent read the manual"
this uiq is all new to me, and i feel that my last w900 was faster in the menues takaes forever to start typing an sms, and the mms part is not as smart as it could be, but all this is that i am used to use keybord/and shourt cuts like numeric pressings.
overall a sweet phone that i need to "grow in to" and accept that it's not as fast as my old to get where you whan't.
Edit, called SE this morning, the alarm function will not sound if you have the silent mode on, and if you charge the mobile the vibrator will not start ether... so an option is to use flightmode if you don't whant to be disturbed, i tried to turn of the phone to, no alarm started then either, that sucks imo, but he said it aplyed to all uiq phones.

@ SKIBBE
I went through the same thing with the W960 proto took sometime to get used, and yep its a bit slow but i found the P1 even slower though. Love how that Walkman3.0 looks though.
