For those of you with a white aino, do you find that the white model was geared towards women with the pink on the sides? I myself think the white model is pretty nice but is that pink hue really noticeable? I'm guessing it is really faint and depends on the lighting more than anything. How cheap do you guys think the price is going to be after Christmas time? I'm looking at purchasing one soon since my 2006 Samsung phone is crapping out on me. It doesn't really make sense to keep a phone that can't make phone calls but can only receive eh? I am really leaning towards the aino but the $450 ish price tag is kind of making me hesitant.

Just installed the new software - haven't noticed anything (I didn't have much problems to begin with just some general slowness from while to while)

But yes, the touch works on gmail, bu the menus are too small to use with fingers. I noticed that the touch works on mgmaps as well.

Aino Is Here To Stay.

It seems the story about Aino being pulled from stores is just a nasty rumour.

Aino is here to stay.

One thing that has changed with the new firmware:

You can't play audio from the main touch menu anymore. Clicking on the bottom of the screen on the bar where the battery and network indicators are doesn't bring up the audio player. And when you have an audio file playing the bar doesn't glow red anymore. I guess this is to not have audio start playing when the phone is in your pocket. So now to be able to do anything in the touch menu you have to slide it open. A good thing if you ask me

HAHAHA! Solves one problem for me. 2 more to go.

1. Should be able to lock the phone while on call so the "Call End" button is not accidentally touched. Happens a lot while talking with slider closed or with phone in pocket while talking handsfree. Good idea will be to AGAIN disable touch for ending a call .
2. Improve performance for Conversation view.

The light sensor works really well for me and locks the phone when the slider is closed and in a call. It even works when the phone is pressed to the ear. Was this feature not included in the previous software?

For End Call, wouldn't it be a better option to make the end call tab slide? Like when you answer the phone you have to slide your finger on the answer call tab.

1 feature I would like is having the volume button bring up the clock when pressed if the phone is closed, as it is it does nothing unless the slider is open.

I've white Aino, i've owned it 1 month now, not a single person has noticed that "pink" sides, not even me I just read on a site that it changes colour with light conditions, then i noticed it. it's not pink, but in room light it looks like pink, but it's noticeable at all. It may be green or any other colour with diff light conditions
