Wonder if we'll see the same front snapper as found on the XA Ultra 16mp with OIS selfie cam would be great. I've tried out the front camera on the XA Ultra and its incredible with or without the front facing flash.

The phone has a metal back and NFC will not work with any metal in between.

i like the tube concept, but I am not sure about it now looking at that pic.
let's see if they will further enhance it in the succeeding models like the Z series.

Judging by the shot of the headphone jack I'd say the phone to be approx 8.2mm thin which is the same as the Z2 which also had the largest battery capacity of any Sony flagship bar the Premium.

As someone said, it reminds a little bit of Nokia. I definitely love the design of the N9.
I am jumping on the hypewagon too.

Damn, when I first saw the picture it looked large in the persons hand so I had hoped it was a new Ultra, lol. Interesting design here. With the 2.5D glass it seems they're going for a fully smooth feel all around except for the top/bottom. I do hope it doesn't create a situation where the corners feel sharp, as a lot of reviewers complained about the phone digging into the palm of their hands in earlier Z series reviews.
Glad to see some new things on the camera side of things too. Very interesting that the front snapper is supposedly going to record in 4K too.
So, how sure are we that this is the actual flagship, and not just another model to be announced alongside it?
Also, what's up with that one front shot of the phone when he's in the car? The bottom left of the screen looks odd with some sort of separation. An improperly applied screen protector? Or some odd visual effect of the 2D glass?
Ah well, wait and see. For all we know this is a 3D printed fake someone made up...

The bezels talk is so damn tiring!!
Anywho, absolutely loving that colour. Reminds me a little of the T650i.
Unfortunately looks a little large for me. Around 5" is the sweet spot for me. I have a G4 which is 5.5", definitely want to downsize. Make one handed use easier.

Maybe because of the fingerprint sensor position?
If you have the NFC at the back of the phone, you probably have to use the left thumb to access the fingerprint sensor, while have a higher chance of touching the screen. On the other hand, if you have nfc on the front of the phone, you can use the right thumb to unlock the phone.

All that extra effort to flip the phone over and type in your pin...
When you were paying with your bank card, you had to tap, move card away from display, then input pin. And when using a phone with NFC on the back, you would tap, move phone closer to you/into more comfortable position in order to input pin.
Is there REALLY that MUCH of a difference?

I'm hoping for another Compact version. Sony would be silly not to include another X Compact in their line up.
