Ah, Barney Simon on Tuks FM...yeah! Just played the new Ozzy and Manson. Not 100 my like, but better than all the commercial crap. So glad he left 5 fm...he did not fit.

Hopefully the mobile data rates would drop accordingly to some degree in SA, but it certainly hasn't had a notable impact on the pricey mobile data rates in the UK, even with extremely fierce broadband wars going on here.

I first met Barney at the old Numbers club in East London in 1995, on a Wednesday alternative night. Quite a 'vris' big boytjie. Very full of himself, though. He started his show that night with Rage Against The Machine. Later that night he ended up crowd-surfing and having his sleeveless Nirvana shirt ripped to bits, LOL.

@ 786KBR,
LOL, Graham Ford turned down the job yesterday.

Well i hope i am right in saying that moble broadband has become such a huge income for the mobile operators thet they will continue to be competitive in the market. Matching cheaper than breath broadband prices to keep playing with the bigboys 'tescum etc' ...

If they do, they will still have the advantage above the competitors that its easier to set up....

So now Apple's Steve Jobs has rekindled a web browser war, with Firefox their prime targets this time round, as well as further info about the iPhone:

I'd say current mobile data rates are good but any network that introduces a flat fee will have the competitive edge.
@786KBR: I'm disappointed Graham Ford didn't take the India job. I'm left asking though, why don't any of the sub-continental teams have local coaches? I mean they've had brilliant players over several decades but what makes someone like Ford such an outstanding coach?

Well it makes one wonder why Ford flew down to Chennai for the final interviews and selection for the job, then they select the oke and he turns it down the next day. Surely if he wasn't happy with what was proposed/ offered/presented to him, he would've made his sentiments known and not just leave the BCCI to fathom that he was OK with it all?

Oh well, not really fair to speculate too much when one doesn't know all the facts.

The BCCI should've first ensured that he had accepted the job once they had made their minds up that he was the winning candidate prior to announcing to the world that he was India's new coach..
Hindsight and retrospect; such wonderful things, I guess...

Perhaps the inistence of a foreign coach is to prevent internal shenanigans, accusations of provincial biases and influences, political and whatever other domestic issues that could arise from appointing a local coach..?

If anyone can stomach Vodafone branding, the W850i is now being sold here for £119.99 (approx R1700) when you trade in your old brick.
Would cost another £10 to unlock, though.
