Hi, Quick help please, i bought a t68i off someone, the phone is in new condition and is legit (not stolen or blocked), it is also unlocked but the problem is that the reception cuts off and on. I also have a normal t68i, which i still have a reciept for, but i wanted to know what i should say to SE on the phone (the correct thing to say). Shall i say a purchased this phone is august and now suddenly it doesnt work, and ask for a new one (or at least a replacement one till its fixed?) or just say i lost the reciept and that the phone is fairly new (manufacture production date: 02W20) and wish for it to be fixed?
Anyone know how long it would take them to fix? Also sorry i know i asked kind-of the same question time ago, but that was what is wrong with it, now i want to know how to get it fixed.

the only way you'll get it replaced is if they can't fix it. they (almost certainly) won't give a loan phone, as they say that is up to the retailer where you bought it from. as far as getting it fixed for free goes, is the phone still under warranty? if it is, they normally require a receipt to accompany the phone before they'll repair it. if they don't require a receipt, they check with the networks as to when it was first used. if it was me, i'd ring them and ask them what your options are. it might be that you'll have to pay for the repair.

The reason for my dumb question is that on my receipt it say t68i etc etc purchased with t-mobile free time 750, but the phone is on o2 (unlocked though). This is why I want to know how I should ask them, do they check whom the phone belongs to originally (use imei, or something, then ask for ID?) The phone is probably under warranty (think the t68i, in UK is not a year old yet is it? and it says it was produced in April under the battery, and you get at least 15 months warranty don’t you?) Can the problem be fixed by a firmware upgrade? Or do they have to put a new antenna or clean it?

t68iking - manufacturers warranties are 12 months. it shouldn't matter if the phone wasn't yours originally. if it's a t68i (white handset) it should be under 12 months old as i don't think they came out that long ago. the review of it in what mobile is dated july 02.
