Needless to say it solves the ergonomy issue and allows to hold the phone in a way that limits the movement when taking the shot.
Assuming Maia info is genuine.
As we have conflicting feedback on Honami about interchangeable lenses, could the lenses be an accessory for such a mystery device?
I am starting to think it makes sense: such a device would really leapfrog the competition, as currently samsung provides a zoom in a phone and an android camera with interchangeble lenses, but not a phone with interchangeable lenses, although it could very well be their next step.
Such a device from Sony today would really outshine the competition and raise eyebrows including in the states no?
In terms of design, realistically, how thick should the phone be so that it is flat while including a xenon flash, and there is no bump when the standard lens is on? I assume here the standard lens would be f2 without zoom, so it is as thin as possible.

Thank you guys, maia's info really picked my interest from the beginning since his sketch had a more sensible layout to incorporate Interchangeable lens capability than the alleged design infos for honami. besides the two-tone finishing reminds me alot of the RX100 which could be Sony's next design language for their upcoming phones. here's hoping he could provide more details about it so reeflotz or I could work on it if ever it is a real device in the making. who knows what maia saw might actually be Honami's successor stated for 2014 release

Nice work razec! so if maia info is true then the back should look more like that, true about if it was to incorporate an interchangeable lens then lens mount will have to be big, but only problem I see is if sony releases a phone of this type, pretty sure it'll just be for enthusiasts/geeks, much like an 808 with interchangeable lenses, but definitely miles ahead of samsung zoom
