How do I get my itunes to run quicker its getting right on my tits. It's so slow, and every time you try and drag a tune across to my ipod icon it hangs for about 30 seconds.

Do you mean that itunes takes ages to load? is it still slow once the itunes program has opened or just the first time that it opens?

If it's taking ages to load up then it might be scanning through your media folders every time it opens. Is this a brand spanking new PC with vista or is it a bit of an old-timer?

It's a steam engined computer at work with a hay baler and a dung spreader attatched. No, it's just slow in general, takes ages to load, and when it has loaded up, it's jerky and takes forever to do anything. Its Windows XP. Actually, the computer runs fine in general, its just itunes. Thought just struck me, better check the USB port it might not be a 2.0

^^^^

yeah, I was going to suggest that. Also find out how much memory the pc has got because that is often the cause of slow applications. Might be worth trying this little fix too, it's not really for this problem but it wont bugger anything up and it solves a multitude of itunes related woes:

Oh dear

So that's six cards and none of them have worked properly. Are you absolutely sure you haven't got a hardware problem somewhere, graphics card maybe?
