@bavlondon2--
Can you provide a link for the P990 Whitepaper that you are reading? I couldn't find it on the SE Developer site and I didn't realize that it was available yet. Thanks.

Does somebody know how I can change the keypad layout? Mine has an AZERTY keypad but it's software makes it a QWERTY which means the text input is different from the icons on the buttons (no big deal with the letters, but the backspace has also changed from position)... does somebody know where I could change that I can't find it (also not in the control panel)... It's now (H=hardware, S=software) Hazerty-Sqwerty but I want Hazerty-Sazerty (I know azerty is rubbish but at least I type the same as the icons).

@ bavlondon2 - you need to get over this believing thing. Im not attacking you mate, just discussing such things which people say either surprise me or seem hard to believe.
I read the whitepaper regarding the UIQ v3, but not the one for the P990i, i wasnt aware it was available yet. Are you sure you're not simply confusing the two ? Just because the Symbian OS supports such functionality, does not mean the P990i will be able to perform all of it.

Hi,
if you are doing simulteneous intenstive tasks like e.g., sending a 100k MMS in the background, and transferring a file via BT and performing these tasks while say, liestening to music, I am sure ALL multitasking capable mobile deivices will lag to a certain extent.
Good thing about P910i over older P series is that it has 64MB internal memory to install all the apps you wanted, PLUS extra 22MB of free active RAM to use at boot time, which allows us to use boot manager programs like RunAtOnce, etc to load all the apps we wanted at boot time and keep them running in the background for immediate switching at times of needs.
P990i will have even more free internal memory and active RAM than P910i so should allow us to install and startup even more apps in the bacground. Hope this helps.
